ohhh Mary Woronov. ohhhhhh... Mary Woronov. Perhaps the first boobies my pre-pubescent self ever saw on film -- a bootleg copy of Death Race 2000. ohhhhhhhh Calamity Jane!!!

oh, and while we're thinking of science fiction, meaning technology, meaning our future... our tenuous future... something about which we should always be thinking, yo...

speaking of all that and space aliens... because we were, weren't we?

Hmm... aliens and peak oil? That logic would apply if the civilization didn't hit the Singularity/Spike. You see if we can hold out long enough for the mathematical threshold that will allow all problems to be solved, concepts like space travel, fuel, and post-human existence will be easy peasey.

yeah Charlie, you let me know how that "hold on long enough" optimism is working for you after the comet hits and the Morlocks are chewing on your liver.

Mmm... liver.
