Dr. AC's 2010 Horror Film Wrap-up

Howdy troops,

After much deliberation, here is my assessment of the horror year that was. All of the films listed below were encountered by the Doc for the first time from January 1 to December 31, 2010 (i.e. no repeat viewings were eligible). To accommodate and acknowledge as many films as possible, I've broken them down into various categories in alphabetical order, with my top pick denoted with an asterisk. If I didn't see it personally, I didn't weigh in on it. (My Soul to Take, you're off the hook...this year.)

(Disclaimer: These are my personal picks and should in no way reflect on the WildClaw team as a whole. After all, I understand some people out there genuninely liked Survival of the Dead.)

As always, feel free to wiegh in with any comments, quibbles, contrasting opinions, overlooked items, 20 ton weights...we'll tag you back.

See you for more freaky fun & gory games in 2011!

Uh...what about Let Me In????

Dr. AC said...

My apologies, Zahir, but I have not yet gotten to see LET ME IN. And here's why: I loved the original LET THE RIGHT ONE IN and had no expectations of patronizing Hollywood's version...until I heard that it was pretty darn faithful and worthwhile. Of course, by the time the word of mouth got around, LMI had already left theaters. I do, however, plan to check it out on DVD.

I'm assuming you have seen it and liked it? Did you see/like the original Swedish film?

And now, looking at your profile, I see that LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is listed as one of your favorite films, so if you were pleased with LET ME IN, then that's just further incitement for me to check it out forthwith.
