THE FLY (1986)David Cronenberg, 95m, February 1 & 2, 2008

Master of body-horror David Cronenberg turns his eye on the classic sci-fi story of experimentation run amok. When Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum) perfects his matter transference device, his curiosity naturally gets the better of him and before long Dr. Brundle isn't quite the same man he was before. Geena Davis and John Getz co-star. Oscar-winning makeup f/x by Chris Walas.

Don't miss this chance to see one of the great sci-fi/horror flicks in all its grand gooey gory glory, and hang out with Dr. AC and the Wildclaw folks at the same time! Such a deal...

Still boggles my mind that Jeff Goldblum successfully shifted from the skinny, nebbish character type in "The Big Chill" to the skinny naked guy with rock and roll hair in "The Fly". And from then on out, he's the cool intellectual heartthrob guy? What gives? I want to pull that stunt!
